Historical information

The 3rd Go New England Open will take place over Labor Day weekend, Saturday Aug 31 through Sunday Sept 1, 2024.

This event is supported by the new AGA "catchment" area initiative, and all 6 New England states are pooling our catchment funds to provide this special 2-day tournament.

Crazy Go & Pizza

Terry Benson is bringing his Crazy Go equipment that many of you will have seen at Go Congresses throughout the decades. He's offered to again run Crazy Go Saturday night. Crazy Go will start right after round 3. We'll also be ordering pizza, which goes really well with Crazy Go.

If you've never seen Crazy Go before, don't miss it. We'll set up over a dozen Go variants, including Rengo Kriegspiel, joker Go, bidding Go, Go on different shaped boards, etc.

Rules

We will use AGA Rules.
Time control will be Fischer 40min + 15sec/move.
